Are You Deprived of Sleep?

Are you depriving yourself of sleep?
Lack of sleep has been shown to impair brain activity, cause memory problems, moodiness and depression, weakened immune responses, weight gain, high blood pressure, and more.

3 Simple fixes could help you sleep more.
You can use earplugs if you have sound issues you cannot control. Get a room darkening sleep mask if the light is a problem. Try melatonin. Melatonin is a synthetic hormone that is available in many stores in the supplements section. For it to be helpful you need to correct dose and at the right time, as to not reset you to an undesirable sleep pattern. There are some concerns regarding the use of melatonin, however, there have not been any reported cases o proven toxicity or overdose. For your concerns be sure to talk with your doctor or health care provider.

These may not be enough to put you in a healthy sleeping pattern. Sleep Disorders are a real health issue. The NIND claims at least 40 million Americans a year suffer from chronic long-term sleep disorders and an additional 20 million experience occasional sleeping problems.
